Abstract
The study analyzed and comparison of the set position of the Czech male and female sprinters which results of many studies. The subject of the study was 24 participants of 200 m and 400 m (12 female and 12 male) of the 2012 Czech Indoor Athletics Championships.
In this study, the set position and setting of the starting blocks were analyzed. The analysis of the start was performed with high-speed camera Casio.
The study was made using a frequency of 240 frames / second. Videotape was analyzed by the computer software Dartfish.
Secondary aim of this study is to inform about the right set position and setting of the starting blocks. Czech athletes should have more extend inter-block distance by the result of this study.
