Abstract

Lindenmayer systems (L-systems) are used for decades for modeling of plants, cellular colonies or synthetic fractals. There were no convenient tools for rapid experiments with L-system rule-sets.

That is why a new online system Malsys was developed. It implements parametric, stochastic, contextual systems and is able to display result immediately.

Paper introduces the basic theory of L-systems and shows power of online laboratory Malsys.
