Abstract

Evolution, crisis and subsequent fall of the Roman empire are the topics to which researches pay attention since the close of the Ancient age. Contribution evaluates this problematic from different angle of view: attention is paid to more general perception of crisis and fall in the Roman world (Rhein and Danubian provinces) and Egypt (Western desert) and its analysis from the archaeological point of view is standpoint for evaluation of close period of the end of Ancient age and onset of Middle age.
