First an Unwelcome Guest, Later a Solid Foundation of the Academic Self-Goverment : On the Activities of the Academic Magistrate of Charles-Ferdinand University in the 17th and 18th Centuries

Abstract

The Academic Magistrate was established at the Prague University after teh university union 1654. The activities of the magistrate were affected by the Theresian-Josephine reforms and this organ was completely dissolved in 1784.
