Reflections of Hegel's Aestetics in Classical Artistic Moderna

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2012

Abstract

This paper discusses Hegel's conceptions of total artwork, necessity and freedom, which influenced the classical artistic moderna, represented here by Bauhaus, a school oriented towards art and industry. Hegelian concepts, adapted by teachers and directors of Bauhaus, were later reflected by the tradition of Visual Arts Education, where they are recognisable as a language and interdisciplinary focus.
