Abstract

An overview of literatures on the Arabian peninsula from the first occurrences of inscriptions to ca. 3rd century B.C. Characteristics of inscriptions in Southern Arabia (Sabaic, Minean, Qatabanian and Hadramitic texts), characteristics of types of inscriptions in the inner parts of the peninsula (safaitic, dumaitic, dedan inscriptions).
