Abstract
The essay follows up the blending of the two forms of realism in this author's artisticaly most ambitious work: blending of the documentary realism that makes one of the first Prague's novel out of this work and the psychological realism that place the protagonist next to Mrštík's George Jordan (Jiří Jordán) and other similar protagonists.
