The way of a lightfooted young : images of evolution in troubadour poetry

Publication at Faculty of Arts |

Abstract

The article shows the importance of the notion of positive evolution in the troubadour poetry. This evolution is usually understood as a process of self-disciplination which the poet undergoes in order to reach for his already perfect lady.

Such evolution plays a crucial role in the courtly poetry and in the medieval vernacular literature as a whole.
