Multilingualism of the Slovene "moderna" - the reason of the vivid creavity

Abstract

In the paper we analyse the problem of bilingualism and multilingualism of the Slovene authors of "moderna". Ivan Cankar, Dragotin Kette, Jospi Murn and Oton Župančič were typical intellectuals in the Austrio-Hungarian state: they were bilingual in Slovene and German and they also know other languages.

Because of that they were extremely sensibal to other cultures and philosophies of that time.
