This paper outlined the development of valency syntax in the Czech language textbooks (1990 - 2010) for 2nd Primary School. Analysis of textbooks referred to the considerable differences in the concept of didactical transformation of valency theory of syntax.
The differences are apparent both in theory and terminology in the plane. Disparity in the interpretation of the concept of valency has splintered syntax in the Czech language textbooks.
A comprehensive approach to the concept of valency syntax is found in textbooks published by Jinan (I) Prodos and SPN (II). In particular, the textbook publisher Jinan and SPN can be considered as models of didactical transformation of valence syntax in Czech language at the 2nd primary school.
