The verbs with intensive reduplication in Czech and other Slavonic languages

Abstract

The paper discusses Slavonic verbs with the reduplication pattern ToR-ToR-i/a-ti which obviously must have operated in the period prior to the liquid methatesis. The verbs have considerably different histories and often sporadic occurances which may be attributed to their expressive nature.
