Exploring Plastic Deformation of Metallic Materials by the Acoustic Emission Technique

Abstract

This chapter is focused on AE occuring during plastic deformation of metallic materials. In this case, it responds to dislocation motion and twinning and therefore yields information on the dynamic processes involved in plastic deformation of metals and alloys.
