Abstract
The subject of this study is the analysis of Romanesque culture as a socio-cultural system which represents a unique configuration of artefacts, socio-cultural regulators and ideas shared and passed on by members of early feudal European society. This study accentuates the anthropologic approach towards culture as a way of life shared by members of medieval culture.
It focuses on material basis of the culture linked to production method as well as on its spiritual and symbolic dimension represented by art, faith, religion, literature and music. The study aims to describe and interpret Romanesque culture from the holistic perspective and present its comprehensive picture within intentions of cultural history conceived as anthropological science.
