Relations between Milan Hodža and Anton Štefánek undergone dramatic development. From cooperation in the editorial office of Slovenský denník and Slovenský týždenník that were published before 1918 in Budapest, to the hostility in the early 1930th of the 20th century, when A. Štefánek joined to the camp of Hodža opponents associated with another important agrarian politician V. Šrobár.
Finally relations normalized after 1935.
