Abstract
This textbook is the first comprehensive guide to Latin metrics to be published in Czech in over sixty years. The purpose of this book is to present the student with a clear and forms of verse and strophes intelligible outline of Latin meters and prosody in order to read, perceive and comprehend the verse of Romans as poetry.
The text book contents examples of all important forms of verse and strophe used in Roman poetry from the beginning to the and og antiquity. Index of Latin authors cited is added at the end of book.
