Abstract

What is the role of our everyday life? How does it proceed? On which bases and why is the approach of Levinas so unique? These and others are the essential questions of this research. Throughout our analyses we prove that Levinas assigns to the everyday life a fundamental role for the conception of a man as such.

In comparison with the analyses of Heidegger, we show the reader that according to Levinas the status of everyday life is not limited to inauthentic, but on the contrary, that it penetrates to the sphere utmost human.
