Abstract
The article contains overview of methods to study somatisms available in current Russian linguistics. Chapter 1 includes classification of approaches towards studying concepts in general, while Chapter 2 is dedicated to approaches of studying somatisms themselves, and Chapter 3 provides analysis of works dedicated to somatism rуka (arm).
