The Power of Nature and Natural Disaster in Early Works of Arno Schmidt

Abstrakt

This study stresses the image of destruction of nature in Arno Schmidt´s novels Leviathan, Nobodaddy´s Kinder and the radio feature Krakatau. Even if these texts do not stress ecological questions, they can be read in the context of the ecocritical discussions.
