Abstract

Thanks to the electronic versions of Old Czech written documents prepared by the Department of Language Development of the Institute of Czech Language, the Czech translation of the Latin treatise Tractatus de arte loquendi et tacendi, published in Plzeň in 1502, is now available. The translation is a noteworthy testimony to the advanced development of Czech at the end of the 15th century.
