On Periods of the Development of Czech Media Education in Czech in European Context

Abstract

The text offers the discussion about possible approaches to the description of the development of formal media education in Czech and European contexts. Several epochs are identified starting with pre-systematic experiments and followed by conceptual framing between WWI and WWII, the post-war reconstruction, systematization and institualization.

The general and shared characteristic features are confronted with specific cultural and political problems of given region, based on the analysis of relevant didactic materials.
