The Dialectic Relation of Soviet and Libertarian Paradigms and the Interepetation of Media Outputs

Abstract

The coexistence of two media paradigms in the period between 1948 and 1989 in the Czechoslovakia built up a special usage of the media information in the public sphere. The deep structure and surface structure processes of media information management are the items of interest of this article.

The deep syntactic, deep semantic, narrative, and discursive operations with the information entering the public sphere via media eliminate information entropy, when the two media paradigms coexist in the media discourse (as it happened in Czechoslovakia 1948 to 1989). The so-called soviet and libertarian media paradigms step into dialectic interplay resulting in rational and hierarchic organization of media discourse.

The loss o one of the paradigms brings a new wave of entropy, and results in the “unbearable lightness of existence”.
