Abstract
A comprehensive essay about the life and cult of saint hermit Gunther († 1045), who is buried in the Břevnov Abbey in Prague. His life was detailled describe by two contemporary wittnesses – by monk Emmeram from Regensburg and by canon Wolfher from Hildesheim.
For his cult is the most important Vita s. Guntheri, which was written by anonymous monk in Břevnov in the middle of 13th century.
