The present article is interested in French surrealistic dramatist Antonin Artaud whose part of the works is dedicated to the concept of culture in Tarahumara country. The article is divided into three parts.
The first one is about Artaud’s surrealist products in the other context. It is about his specific perception as a surrealist and about his concept of surrealism.
In the second part the author delimits the culture in the Artaud’s perspective on race, typical in that time. Artaud is in this case conceive of as a man of literature.
The author is considering possible relations between surrealism and classical literary naturalism; these relations are presented in the third part. The author is striving to get a connection between author as ethnologist and the author as a dramatist on the one hand and between his Tarrahumara concept of culture, seen basically as a race.
Eventually the author mentions a few anthropologists the specialized in Tarrahumara matters.
