Oncological aspects of laparoscopic liver resection

Abstract

There is currently no clearly defined indication criteria for laparoscopic liver resections. These are nowadays implemented as an indication of benign and malignant tumors.

In the report, published in 2804 laparoscopic liver resection was 45% for benign disease and 50% for malignancy. Maybe indication criteria for laparoscopic resection and possible contraindications and limitations of cancer are summarized in the work.
