Abstract

The author focuses on a medieval epos from the mid 12th century that speaks about Ysengrim the wolf. From it then selects from the perspective of the legal historian relevant third book of the epos, describing Assembly animals summoned their king, Rufan the lion.

It is then under the leadership of the plaintiff, which becomes Reinardus the fox, transformed into a tribunal against wolf also described as a monk and bishop. The author also deals with various legal aspects of the case which falls within the "trial drama".
