Abstract
State sector factors, which could influence regional development, are one of essential topics in social geography. Deputies on all spatial levels have same interests – to support politically, financially or legislatively their election or residence districts.
The practise could be explained by theoretical concepts such as structuralist inevitable support of own territorial alliance or institutional social networks, which could ensure support of concrete project through contacts on politicians. Typical empirical examples are deputies and ministry grants (pork barrel).
The contribution will present the exploration of the regional and departmental differentiation of both grant types and the outline of the connection between them. The contribution will also present the importance of election results and the spatial unevenness of deputies’ residences in decision-making process in the phenomenon of pork barrel at a level of districts and municipalities of Czechia in period 2003-2012.
