Training of workers in the Integrated Crisis System - Early psychosocial interventions after disasters, terrrorism and other shocking events

Abstract
The project EUTOPA, EUTOPA IP and EUNAD aimed at standardizing the psychosocial aftercare in case of disasters, as well as the development of an European network of professional institutions. We are not only increasing the competencies of the members of the IRS, but also focus on crisis interventions designed to prevent and reduce the adverse psychological impact of traumatic events on rescuers.
The aim of the subsequent EUNAD project is the creation of materials and recommendations that, could help police, firefighters, nurses and other helping professions to improve their practices and communication with people with hearing and visual impairments. The results will be useful also for organizations that support these people.
