Abstract
Stroke is the most common life-threatening neurological condition and the most importatnt single cause of severe disability. The article is focused on clinical features of a cerebrovascular events and reflects the important progress made over the last few years in diagnosis, treatment and prevention strategies in the case of ischaemic stroke, intracerebral haemorrhage and subarachnoid haemorrhage.
