Abstract
This monography focusess on one less frequent manifestation of multiorgan presentation of so called Lyme disease, namely heart affliction. A small portion of patient develop heart disorder called Lyme carditis.
This monography summarizes more than 20-year experience of the authors with this relatively new nosological unit, but, first of all, paysattention to participation of borrelilal infection on development of serious lesion designated as dilatation cardiomyopathy. In this kontext, the team of cardiologists and elektron microscopy specialists succeded in detection Borreliae directly in myocardial Musile.
Hence, they supportthe formely reported opinion of causa relationship of the mentioned infection to development of this form of cardiomyopathy.
