Lenalidomide treatment of patients with 5q- syndrome affects genes located in the TNF pathway

Abstrakt

The 5q- syndrome is a subgroup of nyelodysplastic syndrome associated with an isolated 5q deletion. The mechanism of lenalidomide on 5q- patients is unknown but appears to be a suppression of 5q- clone resulting in transfusion independence and increase of hemoglobin level.
