Patients with Crohn´s disease have up to 80% probability to develop stenosing or perforating type of the disease, and surgery is then necessary to remove affected part of the bowel. Recurrence of stenosing disease is of high probability in such patients.
The aim of this retrospective study was to assess the efficacy and safety of the endoscopic balloon dilatations in patients treated in a single centre specialized in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.
