Abstract

This project is the review of possibilities of imaging modalities focused on CT (computed tomography) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). We present their advantages and disadvantages with the emphasis on their rational utilization in oncogynaecology.

In many cases engaging several imaging modalities does not affect therapeutic method used and results in unnecessary burden for the patient, time delay for the onset of therapy and additional expenses.
