Efficacy, safety and patient-reported outcomes of combination etanercept and sulfasalazine versus etanercept alone in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: a double-blind randomised 2-year study

Abstract

Double-blind study of combinated biological drug and synthetic DMARD against monotherapy. Combination of etanercept + sulfasalazin was not more efficaious than monotherapy with etanercept both in subjective outcomes and laboratory parameters more efficious than monotherapy with sulfasalazin.
