Mental complications of alcohol addiction

Abstract

The chapter describes 3 basic psychotic situations: ebrietas pathica, delirium tremens as the most serious habit-breaking state and dementia caused by long-term alcohol abuse. We discuss symptoms, course and treatment principles.
