Abstract
The chapter is focused on structure, organization and management of the current Czech health system. Background information on economic and political development of the country is provided.
Comprehensive information and data including human resources capacity, financing and payment mechanism, service delivery and resource allocation are analysed in the context of demographic situation and structure of mortality and morbidity of the Czech population. The strengths and weaknesses as well as prospect for the future are also discussed.
