Is spironolactone choice of in resistant hypertension?

Abstract

Antihypertensive drugs, which are effective to decrease the blood pressure below values of 140/90 mm Hg in all patients with arterial hypertension are still unknown. This review article summarizes some proved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using in care for patients with resistant hypertension.

Combined antihypertensive treatment including aldosterone receptor blocker spironolactone seems to be promising therapeutic approach.
