Abstract
It is a text of chapter from a book about inflammatory responses in sepsis, which is specifically aimed at clinical aspects of this serious infectious process. The authors concentrated at current epidemiology, microbial etiology, clinical picture, diagnostics, complications and therapeutic approaches in septic patients.
