Abstract
Interstitial lung processes represent diseases affecting the respiratory bronchioles, alveolar ducts, alveoli, pulmonary capillaries and lung interstitium. We are able to detect an evoking cause only in one third of them.
Diseases, in which we cannot determine the cause, are referred to as idiopathic or cryptogenic.
