Repeatedly ill adults in an outpatients' department

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2012

Abstract

Usually fatigue, elevated body temperature, arhtralgia, myalgia, gastrointestinal and urinary tract disorders are frequent reasons for repeated visits in an outpatient's immunologic and allergologic clinics. Diagnostic procedures are based not only on laboratory and imagining methods.

Clinical point of view is the most important because each illness can involve immune system. Primary immunodeficiency is rarely diagnosed in adulthood.

More frequent is secondary immunodeficiency and changes of immune system due to different complex disorders including psychosomatic problems. Cooperation with other specialties is necessary for proper diagnose except of immunological investigation.

Therapeuthical possibilities offer common anti-inflammatory therapy and immunomodulation.
