Abstract

Implant extraction is an important issue in the management of prosthetic joint infection. The quality of implant extraction determines the outcome of the final implantation and the removal of a well-fixed component is a challenge for any surgeon.

Note, that the implant has to be removed completely in any hip revision surgery for infection
