Tretament of tobacco dependence in adolescent smokers - new, important and difficult topic in medicine

Abstract

Tobacco dependence is a disease (diagnosis F17) and as such requires treatment as any other disease, except of prevention. In the Czech Republic we have about 250,000 of smokers under the age of 18.

So we have to offer them appropriate care including treatment of theis disease.
