Establishing a methodology for risk stratification in surgical patients. Due tu thromboembolic disease die annually in the EU's 0.5 million population, but it is an avoidable disease prophylactic administration antithrombotics, particularly low molecular weight heparins.
The current recommendations for perioperative prophylaxis thromosis not based only on data on the age and type od surgery. Validated by evaluation points used to determine the risk of thrombosis for each patient hospitalized at the surgical unit.
