Shifts in pancreatic surgery at the 1st Surgical Clinic, 1st Faculty of Medicine.

Abstract

Although treatment in general has not recorded any revolutionary and fundamental benefits, is surgical modality still represens the principal treatment and can be considered curative, even in tumours. Pancreaic diseeases remain to be seen as a multidisciplinary issue and mus be approached and dealt with as such, optimally in large-volume centres.
