Abstract
The paper "Adiponectin and Resistin Gene Polymorphisms in Patients with Anorexia Nervosa and Obesity and Its Influence on Metabolic Phenotype" by Křížová et al.(2008) presented original hypotheses and taking into account that presented research was performed on a population of the same ethnic origin, we decided to replicate the presented findings in our cohorts of subjects. However, after a series of unsuccessful attempts to carry out the experiments described by the authors of the article, we discovered several major methodological problems within the paper.
