Bioaffinity chromatography and non-specific interaction

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2012

Abstract

Properties of the matrix used in affinity chromatography usually has a major effect on the presence of protein nonspecific binding. Moreover protein-protein interactions affect the process of protein non-specific binding to the matrix surface.

The biocompatibility of a stationary phase become real through control of surface chemistry and protein adsorption.
