Abstract
The authors present a case report of a female patient who was monitored for a period of 11 years from the "innocent" beginnings until the clear morphological manifestation of a left ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy with systolic dysfunction, which was precedent by a working diagnosis of idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy.
