Abstract
Nutritional care in cancer treatment plays an important role. It is understood the concept of nutritional screening and assessment of nutritional status, the possibility of malnutrition in cancer.
Forms of nutritional care are classified as nutritional counseling, enteral nutrition in the form of sipping, probe enteral and parenteral nutrition. Another section is devoted to clarifying the probe enteral nutrition.
Parenteral nutrition allows ensuring nutritional intake in the gastrointestinal tract, including the unavailability of home parenteral nutrition. Important is the optimal nutritional preparation before surgery.
In conclusion, we discuss nutritional care during the palliative phase of the disease.
