Abstract
The Annual Report summarises information about the situation in the field of drug use and its consequences, in the fields of legislation, strategies, and drug policy coordination, and about interventions, especially in the areas of drug demand reduction, drug crime, and drug markets in the Czech Republic in 2008, as well as trends in the abovementioned fields. When the latest data are available, it also refers to the current period in 2009.
In the parts where the latest up-to-date or more detailed data were published in recent years, references have been made to the Annual Reports on the Drug Situation for the years 2002-2007 (Mravčík et al. 2003; Mravčík et al. 2004; Mravčík et al. 2005a; Mravčík et al. 2006; Mravčík et al. 2007; Mravčík et al. 2008).
