Abstract
The study questions the transformation of the relationship between punks and skinheads in the Czech Republic since the movements got in former Czechoslovakia until the present. The general public links both subcultures (skinheads in particular) with extremist political views and considers them fully opposed.
The aim of the study is to refute the stereotype by means of the description of both the scenes in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic and putting them in the context of their historical development as such.
