Psychiatric disorders and aggression in the printed media: is there a link? A central European perspective

Abstract

This paper reports on the connection between the psychiatric disorders and aggressive deeds in the printed media in three central European countries. Results indicate that persons with mental illness are still over-portrayed as perpetrators of violent crimes, especially homicides.
